YOUNG CONTENT CREATORS AND BROADCASTERS

Work with broadcasters from the industry, learn how to create and edit a podcast, interview guests, and even host your own radio show — plus get stuck into real-world content creation projects. You’ll develop skills that go beyond the mic, producing exciting visual and audio content just like the pros.

Our students have worked on creative campaigns with Land Rover, filmed wild encounters at Dartmoor Zoo, and captured behind-the-scenes action at Paignton Zoo. All equipment is provided – just bring your best radio voice and a big dose of creativity!

Our Young Broadcasters course is all about combining the art of podcasting with the excitement of content creation. You’ll get the inside scoop on how to plan, record, and edit your own shows — plus learn how to produce engaging visual content that grabs attention.

Here’s what you’ll dive into:

Podcast Planning & Concept Development
Come up with ideas that hook an audience and plan episodes that keep them listening.

Interviewing, Scriptwriting & Presentation Skills
Learn how to ask great questions, write scripts that flow, and speak with confidence on mic or camera.

Audio Recording Techniques
Master mic use, sound levels, and recording tips to make your audio sound crisp and professional.

Editing, Production & Content Creation

Use editing software to cut, mix, and polish your podcasts — and create share-worthy video and photo content for real-world projects.

Each session aims to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and help students express their ideas creatively. By the end of the course, they’ll have produced their own series of podcast episodes and gained valuable skills they can apply to future projects.
